Advantage Home Health Care Inc., offers both PCA and CPR certification for those looking to work in the home health care field.

Education services

PCA BACKGROUND

This program has been developed by the Department of Medical Assistance Services (DMAS) to establish a uniform training curriculum. Its purpose is to train and teach qualified persons to provide personal care services under Medicaid Waivers. DMAS hopes that this program will assist in recruiting and retaining qualified personal care aides.

DMAS Requirements for Personal Care Aides (PCA) include:

  • Must be 18 years of age or older
  • Must be able to read and write in English to the degree necessary to perform the tasks expected; and
  • Must be able to perform the tasks required.

CPR (adult/child), first aide training.

Advantage HHCI Provides CPR/First aide training for those who seek to be certified either for the workplace or to be prepared for any emergency situation. Our Instructor is certified with the American Red Cross and went through extensive training and education.

***Communication none the less is an essential factor in the support of the disabled community. This training guide teaches the caregiver to pay attention to improving the interactive process between themselves and the individuals they are taking care of.
